NYC & NJ Summer Wedding MakeupTips

With NYC Bridal Week wrapping up and the warm east coast weather creeping up on us. I felt this would be a great time to do a quick post on the latest makeup looks for the upcoming 2012 Summer weddings, as well as a few tips to keep you looking fresh and beautiful in this warm sometimes muggy east coast weather.

Bridal Makeup Summer 2012

This season we have seen the a lot of glamorous brides. Fluffy lashes, smouldering eyes, glowing skin and nude lips. This look brings a modern approach to the classic bride. You can see this look on Megan Fox on your right.

Next we saw the return of the classic 50s pinup bride which has always been a favorite of mine. It's a timeless look that involves a bold red lip, a defined eyeliner and flawless skin. It's a beautiful look that compliments brides with updos perfectly.

Summer Makeup Tips:

Summer Weddings are beautiful and ulta memorable. Beautiful scenery, outdoor weddings and NO COATS;) , but when its to warm then we have some different issue such as oily skin, runny eyeliners and sweat.

Here a few things that I make sure to advise my Summer Brides to never leave the home with out.

Makeup refreshing mists such as MAC Fix+, Claudlie Beauty Elixir or Amore Pacific Hydra Mist. These products instantly refresh your makeup and hydrate the skin.

Blot Paper. Many companies make them now and can be easily found cosmetic lines such as MAC and Palladio make them.

Blot powder is also another alternative if you do not want to use blot paper. Cosmetic lines such as Benefit and MAC make such powders.

Last but definitely not least make sure that if your doing your own make to prime your skin according to your skin type. If you are oily make sure to make use of Oil control lotions and mattifying primers beneath your makeup as well. If you sweat a lot you may want to consider getting Airbrush makeup for your big day. If you have any of the issues above long lasting water resistant Makeup is also an option (check with your favorite makeup line since most brands carry this type of foundation) or water resistant Makeup setting sprays lines such as Urban Decay, Benefit and other make similar products.
